Yoga - For and By Graduate Students

  • Graduate Student Wellness Fair, University of Arizona

A 30 minute practice to offer graduate students a sense of grounding and routine.

“This event promotes resources that support graduate students' well-being. Drawing on the 8 Dimensions of Wellness - emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, occupational, and social - campus partners will share information and opportunities to enhance your health and success. Interactive workshops will include yoga, meditation, conflict resolution, financial wellness, and more!”

Yoga for Museum Workers

  • Wednesday March 2, 2022, 3:30pm - 4:oopm (PT)

  • Hosted by NEMPN, online

A 30 minute flow focused on self-care and focusing on you! All proceeds go to the Museum Workers Speak Mutual Aid Fund.

“Museum Workers Advocacy Day supports all museum workers and students at every level to gain awareness of the various issues impacting our work, offer concrete solutions to support each other, and opportunities to gather as a community of activists in control of the future of our field.”

Mindful Movement + Mandala Making Yoga Series

  • May 31 - June 21, 2022

A class for slowing down, examining mandalas and the principle of Drishti (focus) while simultaneously combating harmful dominant culture notions such as perfectionism, production, and urgency. This is not a therapy group. However, this course may be beneficial to those seeking tools to increase their creativity and relaxation.

The Art of Yoga

  • March 28 - May 2, 2022

A class for exploring how yoga and art-making offer tools for relaxation, creativity, and story telling. Each week we’ll explore a different color, the stories of that color, and your relationship/story with that color. This is not a therapy group. However, this course may be beneficial to those seeking tools to increase their creativity and relaxation.

NEMPN Yoga Series

  • September 22 - November 24, 2021

  • Wednesdays 5:00pm - 6:00pm (MST), closed group

  • National EMP Network, Online

Over the course of 10 weeks together we will explore breath and movement through the lens of yoga's Yamas and Niyamas, ethical considerations for how to live in the world and show up in your community. There will be room to explore these elements individually, through our asana (movement) practice and journaling to prompts, and collectively, through group conversation.
